Objectives

The objectives of the Hellenic Association for Assistive Technology (HAAT) include:

  • Promoting and systematically disseminating knowledge and awareness of Assistive Technology (AT) and its related services, in conjunction with digital accessibility and inclusion, for the benefit of AT users.
  • Advancing the professional interests and expertise of individuals involved in the design, research, development, implementation, or evaluation of Assistive Technology.
  • Providing technical expertise, expert advice, consultancy, and support to decision-makers in both the public and private sectors on matters relating to Assistive Technology.
  • Undertaking joint initiatives by the Society and its members, through all appropriate means, with objectives including—but not limited to—shaping developments in the field, promoting research, development, implementation, and evaluation of Assistive Technology, providing consultancy and other professional services, and supporting the adoption and application of policies and practices related to Assistive Technology.
